The Shock Doctrine
The Penguin Book Competition Awards 2008 required two book covers to be re-designed.
The Shock Doctrine was a conspiracy theory by Naomi Klein descirbing how new laws were passed by the U.S.A Goverment at a time of disasters.
The cover has many meanings including a shadow figure of a hand grasping U.S Dollar bills reflecting the governent's greed as well as cracked glass repesenting the shattered lives of the people.
On Beauty
On Beauty by Zadie Smith follows a pair of feuding families who were in dispute .
Hear, See and Speak no evil is the main design concept of the cover detailing each family role within the book.
